History of Tournament

Stand In The Gap Charity (SITGC) was founded in early 2016 by FedEx Pilot Paul Hisky to address two of his passions: charity service and golf. A veteran of numerous service projects and mission trips, Paul invited six of his Christian friends with the same heart for charity to join his team. After a period of brainstorming, the team developed their vision from Ezekiel 22:30: “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before me for the land…” In stead of the wall, Paul and his team substituted “bridge of hope”…to be a bridge across the expanse between struggling charities and resources/awareness.

SITGC held their first annual Stand In The Gap Charity Golf Tournament and Charity Auction in October 2016 benefiting an international children’s home. With the help of a dedicated group of volunteers, Paul handed the charity over $32000 to further their mission. Their second annual golf tournament and charity auction is scheduled for October 22/23 in SITGC home location, Collierville, TN.
