I currently have 17 kids at my house!

At 7:30pm I called my mom. I told her I was going to sleep after putting the kids down. The last week has been before sun up to way after sun down type of days working like crazy trying to get this house packed and the other house fixed up and cleaned.

Between moving and packing, and errands, and meetings, and of course my ten children… it’s been a bit chaotic.

At 8pm I heard my phone ring.  Haiti’s Department of Child Services.

7 children need a place to sleep. We are cramped as it is so adding 7 made things very interesting!

But it is what it is, and my children got quite the surprise when they woke up!

They were escorted by DCS and heavily armed police since it was at 9:30pm in the pouring rain when they finally arrived.

Ministry is so different then it use to be.  But we are thankful to have a ministry still standing and at the new house we’ll have more space to love on and care for these children.

Pray that we can find their families, a solution, and a healthy reunification!

And maybe I’ll find some sleep next week.

Jesus said, “The first in importance is, ‘The Lord your God is one; so, love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.’ And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment that ranks with these.” Mark 12:30-31
